This universally usable SDR software supports
(from build 186) also frequency tuning of the DRB 30.
A very comprehensive software eqipped with numerous
features and modes written by the British radio amateur PeterCarnegie G8JCF.

This unique software includess a lot of new
unique features and abilities. A complete review would require a substantially
larger volume.
The best way to get familiar with most features
is learning-by-doing. Starting with a basic configuration (default) you might try
with different settings & values until you find one that is satisfying.
Amplitude Modulation: AM, BC (AM Broadcast)
, SAM (Synchronous Demodulator)
SSB: LSB, USB
Frequency Modulation: FM
DRM: Therefore the DREAM software has to be
installed additionally . When selecting DRM DREAM starts automatically and runs
in the background.
Several tuning mechanisms are possible:
- Mouse Scroll Wheel
- Keyboard <- and -> arrow key
- Optional encoder
Therefore first move the mouse pointer over
the digit you want to tune.
Besides this it is also possible to select &
edit preset frequencies. Also broadcast & amateur radio bands & bandplans
are included.
400Hz - 5KHz plus dynamic & special music
filters
Automatic & mirror frequency suppression
Manual configuration & automatic tracking
Fast, normal & slow
0 - 40% slider controls
The audio recorder makes it possible to record
the demodulated audio into WAV files
Frequency spectrum (Freq) & oscilloscope
function (time & phase)
Below you will find a few screenshots concerning
configuration (Config) of the DRB 30:

Select the SDRModel NTI DRB 30. According settings
are loaded automatically >>> Default

IF offset is 44 998 000 (Hz) = 44.980.000MHz.
With this setting the tuned signal is displayed in the middle of the spectrum display
with 12KHz sweep range.
As an alternative it is also possible to select
the real IF of 45 000 000 (Hz) = 45.000.000MHz with a 2KHz offset in spectral display.

Here we see the default values of the printer
port adress.
Standard port adress is LPT1 (according HEX
&H378). An alternative would be LPT2 (according HEX &H278).
Beginning with build 191 frequency tuning is
also supported via the optional USB adaptor DRB USB. Therefore select accordingly
